The Memorial Garden
The peaceful Memorial Garden, the Cemetery’s newest section, lies just west of the Cemetery’s entrance road. It owes its existence to a generous donation made by Mrs. Virginia Campbell, to honor the memory of her husband, Dr. John Campbell. Those who choose cremation can purchase niches in the Garden’s columbaria. These are two large, black granite structures, with niches to hold cremated remains.
The Garden, in a cruciform design, makes use of crosses and circles, the latter a Christian symbol of life. Stretching north and south from an elegant fountain between the two columbaria are paths bordered by perennial plantings. Visitors find an inviting place for prayer and remembrance.
Niches, able to hold two urns for cremated remains, are available for purchase for $1350.
